The O&M Manager
The O&M Manager is responsible for carrying out other special requests for the community. The Manager reports to the funders (Indigenous Services Canada) and prepares progress reports, makes recommendations, and obtains quotes for projects and any repairs as needed. A big part of the duties is to process payables and supervise employees under the program, and to co-ordinate and supervise construction projects. The Manager communicates with staff on a daily basis regarding requests, as well as with other professionals at the Ministry of the Environment, Health Canada, and other agencies that are a part of the operations and maintenance of Sheguiandah First Nation. The Manager also receives direction from the Band Manager on other duties deemed important by Chief and Council.
