The Ontario Works Program provides temporary financial and employment assistance to community members in need. Its goal is to help individuals and families cover essential living expenses (food, shelter, and clothing) while supporting their journey toward greater independence.
What you can receive
Through Ontario Works, eligible participants can receive:

Income support
Financial assistance to help meet basic needs.

Employment assistance
Job-readiness training, resume support, education or skill-building opportunities, and referrals to community programs.

Support services
Transportation or child-care assistance to help maintain or find employment.
