The Ontario Works Program provides temporary financial and employment assistance to community members in need. Its goal is to help individuals and families cover essential living expenses—such as food, shelter, and clothing—while supporting their journey toward greater independence.
Through Ontario Works, eligible participants can receive:
Income support to help meet basic needs.
Employment assistance including job-readiness training, resume support, education or skill-building opportunities, and referrals to community programs.
Support services such as transportation or child-care assistance to help maintain or find employment.
