Invitation to the Unveiling of the Indian Residential School Monument & Plaque Ceremony
The Chief & Council of Sheguiandah First Nation cordially invite community members, families, friends, and the public to join us for a special ceremony honouring the memory of the students who attended Indian Residential Schools.
When: Friday, July 3, 2026
Time: Assembly1:45 PM – Opening Prayer 2:00- Ceremony 2:10 PM-3:00 PM
Location: Entrance of Ogemah Miikan. Sheguiandah First Nation
This meaningful ceremony will mark the unveiling of a monument and commemorative plaque dedicated to the memory of the Indian Residential School students of Sheguiandah First Nation. Together, we will gather in remembrance, reflection, and and healing as we honour the survivors, those who returned home, and the legacy of those who did not.
Your Presence will help us pay tribute to their strength, resilience, and enduring legacy.
